Juanita Perez Williams’s Statement on Trump Administration’s Attack on Women’s Health Care

SYRACUSE, NY — In response to the Trump-Pence Administration’s proposed nationwide “gag rule,” which forces health care providers like Planned Parenthood to withhold information from their patients and prevents women from accessing critical reproductive care, Juanita Perez Williams released the following statement on the extreme action:

“The Trump Administration’s latest alarming and egregious attack on women’s reproductive rights is another reminder of how much is at stake for women in this next election. Enough of men making decisions about our health. We must stand up to President Trump and John Katko and protect New York women’s right to comprehensive and affordable care.”

She served as a Lieutenant Commander in the U.S. Navy, NYS Assistant Attorney General, and Corporation Counsel for the City of Syracuse. Perez Williams is a former prosecutor and Associate Dean at Syracuse University.
