Juanita Perez Williams Highlights Need for Medicare for All
Perez Williams shares health care vision with Central New York seniors
SYRACUSE, NY — Yesterday, NY-24 Democratic congressional candidate Juanita Perez Williams held town halls at senior centers in Syracuse and Auburn, listening to Central New York seniors about the struggles they face, like rising healthcare premiums and drug prices. Perez Williams shared her vision to ensure every person gets the healthcare they need by fighting for Medicare for All.
“Healthcare is a right. The Affordable Care Act has helped millions of Americans afford quality healthcare and we need to stop Republican efforts from undermining and repealing the law,” said Perez Williams. “But even with the Affordable Care Act, far too many parents are still forced to decide if they can pay their bills or take their children to a doctor when they are sick. Far too many seniors are paying sky-high premiums and are having to choose between prescription drugs and food. We need to do better. I support Medicare for All to ensure people of all ages have access to affordable, quality healthcare.”
