Congressional Black Caucus PAC Endorses Juanita Perez Williams for Congress
SYRACUSE, NY — Today, the Congressional Black Caucus PAC endorsed Juanita Perez Williams for Congress in New York’s 24th District. The CBC PAC works to increase the number of African Americans in the U.S. Congress, support non-Black candidates that champion their interests, and promote African American participation in the political process.
“Juanita has broken barriers and fought for working people her entire life,” said CBC PAC Chair Representative Gregory Meeks. “A grandchild of immigrants, whose parents struggled to make ends meet, Juanita overcame tremendous odds to then serve her country as a Lieutenant Commander in the U.S. Navy, a prosecutor fighting for justice for women and children, and New York State Assistant Attorney General. We need her fighting spirit in Congress to create opportunity for all Americans. That’s why we are proud to stand with her.”
“I’m honored by the endorsement of the Congressional Black Caucus PAC,” said Perez Williams. “We have so much work to do to ensure that every American has the opportunity to create a better life. That’s why I’ll fight for universal healthcare, good jobs, equal pay for equal work, and investment in our communities in Congress. I am proud to have the CBC PAC stand by my side as we take back this seat.”
